🌟 Junior Scholars Visit ABB! 🌟
Yesterday, ABB welcomed our 11th Grade Scholars for an exciting and informative tour! Scholars had the opportunity to learn about ABB’s jobs, core values, goals, and expectations. It was an eye-opening experience to see the incredible career opportunities available right in our own backyard!

Fifteen of our students had the incredible opportunity to participate in Healthcare Connections. They visited the Lamm Building on the Rocky Mount campus of Edgecombe Community College, where they explored 12 different healthcare stations and gained valuable insights into healthcare careers. 👩⚕️🏥✨

🏡 Due to ongoing winter weather conditions, Thursday, February 20, 2025, will once again be a remote learning day for all students.
📚💻 Students should check their email and their teachers' learning pages for more information on assignments.
📢 Edgecombe Community College will also be closed on Thursday. Be sure to check your Moodle and ECC email for further information from your college instructors.

📢 Important Announcement: Remote Learning Day – Wednesday, February 19, 2025 📢
Due to anticipated winter weather, Wednesday, February 19, 2025, will be a remote learning day for all Edgecombe County Public Schools (ECPS) students, including EECHS. Students should follow the remote learning plans provided by their teachers and complete assignments from home.
Additionally, district offices and school buildings will be closed, with employees working remotely.
Edgecombe Community College will also be closed tomorrow. Check your college email for communication from your instructors.
We will continue to monitor conditions closely and provide updates as needed. Stay safe and warm! ❄️

Due to continued freezing temperatures and icy conditions impacting many secondary roadways across the county, tomorrow will be a Remote Learning Day.
This decision was made in collaboration with the Edgecombe County Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Transportation. Staff will also have a remote workday.
📝 Students: Please continue working independently on assignments provided by your teachers and be sure to check the Learning Page for assignments.
📚 Community College Students: ECC will make its own announcement regarding operations. If you ride a bus to take college classes, please start planning for alternative transportation if college classes are held, as buses will not be running.

In observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Edgecombe Early College will be closed on Monday, January 20. Please note that Edgecombe Community College classes will not meet on Monday as well.
We encourage all of our scholars and families to honor Dr. King's legacy by joining the annual Commemorative Walk and Lunch with the King. The event begins at 10:30 a.m. at St. James Missionary Baptist Church.

Our amazing 9th and 10th-grade scholars kicked off our annual Spring Global Project today! 🎉 This transformative project focuses on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), encouraging our students to tackle global challenges with local solutions.
Each team dives deep into one of the 17 SDGs, learning about the issues and brainstorming innovative ways to create positive change in our community. 💡🌱 From addressing hunger to promoting clean energy, these young leaders are developing the skills and vision to make a real difference.
