Our third-grade teachers have shared the distance learning choice board on the ECPS app. Please complete one ELA and one math activity along with nightly homework for each remote learning day. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child's teacher.
Due to the uncertainty of the weather, our Winter Wonderland Dance has been rescheduled to next Thursday, January 30th. This will allow our dance committee time to decorate.

First Grade Snow Day Choice Board
Directions: Choose two activities from each category to complete throughout the day in the event that we are out of school for a snow day. Please have your parent or guardian initial each
box that you complete for the day. By the end of each day, you should have completed 5 squares.

Kindergarten Inclement Weather Tic- Tac- Toe
Directions: You will choose any 3 assignments that make a Tic-Tac-Toe. The assignments must be three in a row down, across, or diagonal. Please circle the activities you choose and staple them to this paper when you turn them in on the day we return to school to be counted PRESENT! ☺

There will be no chorus practice this week. Chorus practice will resume on Monday, January 27th.
Our Winter Wonderland Dance tickets are on sale until this Wednesday, 1/15, for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. Please let your child's teacher know if you need another order form.
On Thursday, January 16th, we will have our Candyman Gaming Theater. Students who earned that incentive with our Candyman Fundraiser will participate on Thursday morning.

Report cards will go home with students tomorrow, Monday, January 6th. This is an excellent opportunity to celebrate their achievements and set new goals for the coming months.
We also encourage you to connect with your child’s teacher to discuss their progress and address any questions or concerns you may have.
Middle of the year (MOY) testing will begin this week for K-5 students in mClass and iReady and end at the end of the month. The information gained from these assessments allows our teachers to find ways to continue to support your child.
On January 23rd, our 3-5 grade students are invited to the Winter Wonderland dance. An order form will be coming home tomorrow. Order forms and money are due by January 15th.
As always, the safety of our students is our top priority. Please review the morning drop-off procedures. We ask that you do not let students out of cars until a staff member is present to assist with unloading vehicles. While pulling around other cars, please drive slowly if any students exit from the driver's side.

We are excited to welcome our two newest Eagle staff members to the G.W. Carver family.
Mrs. Grace Speight joined the kindergarten team in November, and Ms. Rayleen Merino joined the first-grade team in January.
Mrs. Speight and Ms. Merino will host an informal meet and greets for their parents and families tomorrow, January 3rd, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, or Monday, January 6th, from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm. Both of these meet and greets will be a floating event.

There will be no chorus practice tomorrow, Monday, 12/16. Chorus practices will resume in January.

Monday will be Mixed Up Monday- wear your tackiest sweater or mixed-up outfit.
Tuesday will be Merry Grinchmas- wear green to match the Grinch.
Wednesday will be Winter Wonderland- wear white and blue to celebrate winter weather.
Thursday will be Party in your PJs- wear comfy pjs
Friday will be Flannel Friday- wear plaid or flannel.
This is just a reminder that Friday, December 20th, will be an early dismissal. G.W. Carver will begin dismissing at 12:15 p.m.
